YOU MAY BE CHEATING YOURSELF OF AN OPTIMAL WEB-SURFING EXPERIENCE!!!
AOL CAN DISPLAY POOR QUALITY IMAGES IN YOUR BROWSER WINDOW
IF YOU DON'T SET YOUR PREFERENCES PROPERLY!!!!
I found this out by accident recently while testing my web-pages on various browsers.
If you use AOL's default browser (instead of stand-alone browsers such as
Internet Explorer or Netscape, etc.) it's a good idea to check your preference settings.
To insure that AOL displays all art and photo images in FULL resolution, follow the instructions below:
1. Go to the AOL Menu and click on MY AOL. Select Preferences.

2. In Preferences window, click on the WWW (web preferences) icon on the left.
3. Deactivate the box that says "Use compressed images"

4. Now click on Advanced Settings (don't be scared)
5. On the left hand side of the Advanced Preference Setings window,
click on the triangle next to the Web Browser key to open Web Browser options.
6. Click on "Web Content". In the Page Content window on top right be sure
to click show pictures BETTER ....not FASTER!

7. Click on OK to set and exit Advanced Settings.
8. Click on OK to set and exit Preferences.
Now you will be able to view images in all their original glory!
